We are continuously looking to reducing emissions.
What does that mean?
Limiting climate change demands substantial and sustained reductions in greenhouse gas emissions from our human activities. We at 23 Degrees recognise that we all have a vital role to play, a responsibility we take seriously.
We are continuously looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint, and for our unavoidable emissions, we aim to purchase carbon offsets.
Carbon-Offset Projects
For the emissions we can't reduce, we invest in projects that can.

Tropical Mix Land Restoration Project Panama.
Carbon offset project
Panama is losing more than one per cent of its rich biodiverse forest cover yearly. The Tropical Mix Land Restoration Project reforests 13,385 ha with primarily native tree species reestablishing a mixed tropical forest.

African Biogas Carbon Program
Carbon offset project
The African Biogas Program provides access-to-energy services through the installation of biogas digesters. A biodigester uses organic material such as animal manure, agricultural residues or human faeces combined with water to create bio-slurry and biogas, a mixture of methane and CO2. Using a biodigester can result in a CO2 emission reduction of 3.5 to 8 tonnes of CO2 per digester per year.

Efficient and Clean Cooking Stoves For Households in The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Carbon offset project
In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, over 95% of people rely on biomass for cooking, and inefficient charcoal production contributes heavily to deforestation. Clean cookstoves are a game changer in addressing this issue.
This project is all about providing highly efficient cookstoves that cut fuel use by 61%, helping preserve the Congo Basin’s forests and saving families money. The stoves also slash indoor air pollution by 65%, significantly improving health—especially for women and girls, who are often most affected.
